DAY SIXTY-NINE: Sunstroke

DAY SIXTY-NINE: Sunstroke

Two days of sunshine, this deserves celebrating. We're going to the beach! Because it is so hot I thought it would be a good idea to not bother wearing a T-shirt. Both covered in factor 50 and carrying a bottle of water we began our 1km walk to the beach. The sun is that intense that half way there we had to stop and put more sun cream on. By time we got to the beach Vicki felt faint and had sunstroke.

Our trip to the beach was unsuccessful, having retreated back to the hostel almost immediately. We stayed in the shade near the pool. Later in the day sunstroke kicked in for myself. This is what happens when English go to warmer climates.
