DAY SEVENTY-FIVE: One month
Wow it has been a month already, so much seen and so much done,
I'm glad I've written it all down otherwise I'd have forgotten parts of it.
Today we left Jackeroo, not for any reason other than the bugs in the evening.
Vicki has been eaten alive, some of her bites look very painful.
We left and mobbed
onto The Boulders in Babinda for an overnight stay. I was excited about coming
here, with a name like The boulders I brought my climbing shoes expecting
climbing. We arrived at one of the best sites we've been to and managed to get
a spot under a tree for morning shade. Exploring didn't take long there is a
beautifully crystal clear lake full of people swimming, "This must be the
place where people from cairns come at the weekend" Vicki said while
looking at the water, "Will there be Crocks in there?" I assured here
there wouldn't be.
We went for a
short walk along the rivers bank stopping at all the viewing platforms then we
returned to the van. I was disappointed that there isn't any climbing but was
more than happy to go swimming instead. We returned to the water with our
snorkel and masks, The water was cold but we quickly became used to it, because
there were so many people around we didn't see any fish.
