DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTY- THREE: Skiing/ snowboarding adventure
Today I was giving Vicki a ski lesson and I was continuing to
learn to snowboard. We went to Treble Cone near Wanaka the drive up the
mountain was a little scary. When we arrived we got kitted up and went to use
the free beginner slope. We spent three hours learning and Vicki picked it up
pretty quickly so we went up the ski lift to another beginner slope now known
as death slope. It became evident that the slope was steep, winding and not
very wide to be a beginner slope, having been on intermediate slopes in Europe.
It became very difficult to get down. After a tiring descent we headed back to
Queenstown.
