DAY THIRTY-SEVEN: Feeling juicy
Today we went to Melbourne to explore and go to the Juicy van
rental centre in St Kilda. The day didn't go quite to plan, firstly the Formula
1 is this weekend and the city was manic when you watch it on TV it doesn't look
too busy, people from all over the world were there with their F1 badges around
their neck. We caught the very busy tram to St Kilda to the van centre to have
a look around and ask some questions. We started talking to the girl behind the
desk who was very helpful but had clearly never stayed in one before. After
about an hour of questioning and negotiating we ended on booking it for 80 days.
We are both really excited, our basic plan is to drive the Great Ocean Road
then drive straight to Wollongong to commence with driving north to Cairns
along the way we will look for jobs such as fruit picking and bar work. From
here we will look for jobs in the tourism sector to try to save a little cash.
If we have enough time and cash we will continue to Darwin and then Uluru.
